Focus and Scope

Jurnal Neuroanestesi Indonesia (JNI) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Indonesian Society of Neuroanesthesia & Critical Care (INA-SNACC). The journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of knowledge, research, and clinical experience in the field of neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care.

JNI welcomes manuscripts related to neurosciences and perioperative neuroscientific practice, including but not limited to:

  1. Neuroanesthesia
  2. Neurocritical care
  3. Neurosurgical anesthesia
  4. Pain management in neurological disorders
  5. Perioperative care of patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions
  6. Neurophysiology and neuromonitoring
  7. Cerebral hemodynamics and metabolism
  8. Neuroprotection
  9. Airway and critical care management in neurologic patients
  10. Translational and biomolecular neuroscience relevant to clinical neuroanesthesia

 The journal accepts the following types of articles:

  1. Original research articles
  2. Case reports
  3. Literature reviews

 Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been published in other national or international journals. Manuscripts previously presented at scientific meetings or published in conference proceedings may be considered, provided that written permission from the meeting organizers is obtained.

JNI upholds the principle reflected in its guiding philosophy inspired by Orphanet [www.orpha.net](http://www.orpha.net):

Medicine is always evolving. New knowledge continues to emerge. Every patient is unique, and diagnoses may not always be straightforward. Through JNI, readers are encouraged to expand their understanding and apply evidence-based knowledge to improve patient care.

The journal is published three times per year (February, June, and October), with each issue containing approximately 8–10 articles.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow the focus and scope, and guidelines of the authors of this journal. Manuscripts submitted must discuss scientific benefits or novelty in accordance with the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism content. All authors are advised to use plagiarism detection software to perform similarity checks.

Research articles, cases, literature reviews submitted to this journal will be subject to a double-blind review of at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers with a period of two weeks. Reviewers provided valuable scientific comments to improve the content of the manuscript.

The final decision on acceptance of the article will be made by the Editor in accordance with the reviewer's comments. The publication of accepted articles including the order of articles published will be carried out by the Editor in Chief by considering the order of the date received and the geographical distribution of the authors as well as thematic issues.

 

Publication Frequency

This journal is published every 4 months with 8-10 articles (February, June, October)

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Free access to the full text of all published articles without charge readers or their institutions for access.
